Setting a default channel on teamspeak
Some might find this useful.
Players can set a default channel on ts. A default channel is the channel (or room) you enter when you join the teamspeak.
If a player does not have a default channel selected; said player will enter the teamspeak channel the admins have set as the teamspeak's default channel. Most of the time the channel set as the teamspeak's default channel is (the lobby). Sometimes this changes, example: On battle days the UN will set the default channel to (the DMZ) between the armies, so it is easier to see players coming into ts. (As well as other channels for other reasons.)
However, once a player sets their own default channel, that is the channel they will enter when they join ts.
(A player's teamspeak permissions has no effect on this.)
(The teamspeak's default channel has no effect on this.)
Although, if a channel is password protected, the player will be prompted by ts to enter the password. (If not set.) There is a box to set the password titled - Default Channel Password:
*Only a deleted or renamed channel will prevent this from working.
Setting your own default channel is very quick & easy.
First go into the channel you want to set as your default.
Then click on Bookmarks~Manage Bookmarks~
Under local bookmarks - highlight the Total=IC= ts
On the right side it will say Default Channel: under which is an empty box. To the right of the empty box is a small box with a checkmark. Clicking on the small box with the checkmark will fill the empty box with the channel the player is currently in. (Making the channel the player is in their new default channel.)
Must click Apply~OK so the changes will be saved.
To change it again just repeat the process.
Please, take the time to set a default channel, it's very convenient.
