then right click it -go to properties .click that
then it will look like this
then change the icon to be jotr 1st in picture might have to browse to get the jotr from your nova folder
then remove the~ /exp ice ~ from the target line 2nd in picture
then close it ~ now u should have a jotr icon on your desk top

You could try downloading the update from the Novalogic website also?
If I remember correctly, the JO:E install from disk will update JO:TR to the correct version using files on the disk before proceeding.
You could try to install JO:TR (do not do any updates), then install JO:E, then update to the 1.7.5.7 patch?
The JO:CAG combines JO:TR and JO:E into one single application do I dont understand what you mean there?
What does the 'version.txt' show in your program folder? Mine says:
Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising, V1.6.9.2; English
Joint Operations: Escalation, V1.3.0.0; English
When you launch the game does it tell you that you have v1.7.5.7 installed?

blows I can not intalled the other modes that I downloaded because JOE is missing on the pc.
For JOE I downloaded JOCAG but it does not seem to be on the PC
Does anyone have a solution for it to detect that JOTR is up to date for JOE installed?

If you have the steam version you will have a folder similar to this in My Computer called "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Joint Operations Combined Arms\expansion\"
Inside here there will be a number of folders, each folder represents a game configuration or mod. For example I have the following:
-jo01 (Typhoon Rising) - not present for Steam Combined Arms version
-jox01 (Escalation)
-ic (International Conflict v4.1.8)
-ice (International Conflict Europe v2.0.1)
-tic (Total International Conflict v4.0.4)
The important sub-folder here is the "ice" one.
When you install the International Conflict Europe (ICE) mod, it will install to this "ice" folder.
When you install the Total International Conflict (TIC) mod, it will also install to the "ice" folder, overwriting the ICE MOD files and vice versa.
Using the same folder for both mods was a conscious decision from the developers at the time although the reason escapes my memory.
If you want to be able to play both the ICE and TIC MOD's you need to either hold them in different folder locations or re-install the MOD each time you want to play. In practice people have been making a "tic-mod" sub-folder and a "ice-mod" sub-folder, renaming either one to just "ice" to play that MOD. The full file path will be something like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Novalogic\Joint Operations Typhoon Rising\expansion\ice".

in the top tab's on this web page !! go to Mod Downloads then download the JOCAG - and the TIC Mod , after the download install the JOCAG and update it by the~~~ UPDATE BUTTON ON LOAD IN SCREEN ~ u will see a fetching files screen - then u install the TIC mod, then all u have to do is log in with user name and pass
and /or come on ts in a timely fashion -to get help

In practice, I (Topaxci) keep two folders (one for ICE and one for TIC) and change the names of them depending upon which mod I want to play. I have a shortcut on my desktop so that I can quickly find the expansion folders and change the names manually. There may be a more sophisticated way of managing the ICE and TIC mods but this works for me.
Switching to Total:IC mod: rename "ice" to "ice-OLD" (ICE folder);[/color] rename "ice-NEW" to "ice" (Total:IC folder).
