Hi. You can use DAEMON TOOLS LITE (free) to open ISO9660 images of CD-ROM. Of course, if you have only the physical CD-ROM, you will need to find a real optical drive to convert them to *.iso files.

I am wondering the same about the 1.7.5.7 version, now after the outage I couldn't connect even when I saw others having no problem connecting so I reinstalled the game (multiple times because the updates didn't work first, then when I think it did I still couldn't connect so I thought I must have done something wrong). I still can't get it to update properly anymore. (have used the link in this thread but nothing...so how to get the 1.7.5.7 vers?

I think they have the game files needed to install somewhere on this site for download, you just need your key code from box.

I have all the original disks , so I asume they can be copied to a USB stick and install from there ????

Thanks for your help. Looks like we cracked it finally....

The 1.6.9.2 link you gave didn't go to a valid site but this can be found on Novaworld update site : http://www.novalogic.com/updatedetail.a ... meKey=JOTR

We had an initial conflict between the new Windows 10 version and the Graphics card/drivers - not sure exactly what the conflict was but this was causing the game to freeze and we solved this by going directly to AMD and finding some optional updates they had. Windows were not updating them yet and the system was telling us everything was updated... but they lied!!.

Then finally got the updates sorted with your help... so thanks again. P.S Lynn (the missus aka Lynbo) wrote this in case you were wondering

this sounds like , you have the UCA ACCOUT still on .. the UCA will prevent u from changing files -re-naming files ,and wont let u install stuff because it has no window permission for window 10

My desktop PC crashed after downloading a upgrade for Windows 10 v1709. I tried to reinstall the JO game (Joint Ops Combined Arms Gold; failing that then my CD-ROM) onto my 'old' desktop. The game didn't open properly and froze/crashed on the first screen. The mouse didn't work within the JO menus (it's not the mouse, as it works outside the reinstalled JO).

Loading the game from the CD-ROM onto a new laptop (i.e. a PC that didn't crash with a Windows update) also failed insofar as the game cannot be updated (time-out error for gateway connection).

Has anyone got the latest version of Windows and succeeded in installing the JO game and TIC mod? Has anyone successfully updated the JO game with Windows 10 and associated updates?
